The Historic Mizpah Hotel

The Mizpah Hotel

We spent the night in Tonopah at the renovated Mizpah Hotel, which was built in the early 1900s, coinciding with the silver mine activity. We also found a great Bar B Que place for dinner, with craft beers, The Tonopah Brewing Company.

Delicious!

October 2, 2017 – Packing up to leave Calistoga, CA

We have had a relaxing time in this bucolic setting in Calistoga, CA, sitting out on our 2nd story deck eating dinner most nights at the foot of Mt. St. Helena, watching geese fly overhead and reveling in the pink sunsets. We’ve met international travelers staying in the Villa Mimosa B&B on the floor below us.  The owners of our apartment, Ed and Polly, could not have been more accommodating. Their staff, Maria and Jason, were so friendly and helpful. Here are some pictures of our apartment as we pack up and prepare to head east.
